Virginia Beach shooting
Another shooting in Virginia as 12 were pronounced dead because someone opened fire in a municipal building. It turns out the man had resigned the morning of the shooting and he was looking to get revenge on his coworkers.
They found two legally purchased .45-caliber pistols at the scene. Police said one pistol had a suppressor and several empty extended magazines. And investigators found even more weapons in the gunman's home, Virginia Beach Police Chief James Cervera said. One the shooter bought in 2016 and one in 2018 so the gun law debate can be saved for another time. But this still brings up the question of why would someone do such a thing. His coworkers described the shooter as regular person that they did not converse with a lot and they described him as nothing out of the ordinary.
One of his coworkers saw him with a gun before the attack but assumed it was a drill and that he was going to work on something.
As a society we must put an end to the violence and settle our differences without using guns and killing. So many mass murders have happened since the start of 2019 and I am writing this blog post to remind people that we must show empathy at all times and work to prevent mass murders from happening in the first place.

I think it is very sad that there are still shootings going on throughout America. I know one option would be to ban all guns from being sold, however I am not sure if that would be the appropriate response to this epidemic. In my opinion, the appropriate response to the amount of gun violence that is occurring in America is to make sure that all the needs of every citizen is met. It seems like this employee conducted his massacre because of his frustrations in life.
