Nipsey Hussle Song after Death

Last night DJ Khaled collaborated on a song and music video with the late Nipsey Hussle and John Legend. It was Nipsey's last video he was in before he was shot and killed from gang related violence. The song is titled Higher and has angelic voices and vibes.

In a coincidence, Nip raps about loved ones who have passed on, obviously not knowing his time would be up shortly after this video was filmed. It was filmed only a few days before he was gunned down on March 31.

Important Nipsey Lyrics

Lookin' back at my life make my heart race
Dance with the devil and test our faith
I was thinkin' chess moves but it was God's grace
Crooked ass whoever 'til we all straight
With no shame, I peeped game and it's all fake
South Central state of mind, high crime rate (Yeah)
Homicide, hate, gang banging'll get you all day (Yeah, yeah)
And look at my fate

This track is not to get any clout or money off of Nipsey death which other people have been trying. Khaled has decided to donate all proceeds from the track in an announcement he made on instagram. This announcement was a written message from Khaled to Nipsey and his family.

  1. I too listened to the album and felt a wave of sadness as I saw someone who had helped his community so much fall to something that he and so many others try to escape to no success. I found that this song and the song with Ceelo talked about people like Nips struggle from poverty. I didnt know about Khaled donating all of the songs revenue which I think is great and something Nipsey Hussle would be support and be proud of. RIP
