Woman claims police brutality in Hayward

On a Friday night on November 16, 2018, in Hayward California, Carolina Olvera 19-year-old claims she was brutally attacked by Hayward police. This all happened in the parking lot of a 7-eleven. She claims, "long story short as we were leaving 7 eleven, as I got into the car we backed up. Then out of nowhere many police officers trapped us. I was asked to get out of the car, I did, I was 100% following their instructions especially when they have laser beams and dogs ready to come my way. I was slammed against the dashboard, I screamed, "wtf!!" and blood came out of my mouth. Then Officer Miller tried to say I spit on him so he flipped me and body slammed me on the concrete floor." From this her tooth was chipped, she had a busted lip, a minor concussion, a busted eye,  and a sprained shoulder. Police say that they had a warrant for one of the passengers with Olvera for an armed carjacking. However, Olvera claims she did not know that and got out of her vehicle with her hands up but she was scared. She then continues to claim that from this she is very traumatized and she wants justice. Then she says, "they need to train their staff the better I thought they were supposed to protect and serve. I can't sleep. I cry every night. I cry every time I explain or think about it, not because I'm sad but because I am angry and hurt." After this incident, she is facing criminal charges for "resisting arrest" but she insists Officer Miller should be facing the consequences not her.
