Power of the Public Figure
A clear indicator of the damage someone can do in the spotlight is the nation's attitude towards abortion laws since Trump was elected. While much of the abortion debate concerning Trump focuses on his success in putting highly conservative Brett Kavanaugh on the United States Supreme Court, potentially putting landmark abortion case Roe v. Wade at risk, another major shift in abortion attitudes has also been caused by Trump inadvertently. With all of Trump's anti-abortion rhetoric, there has been a large uptick in anti-abortion laws around the country, but especially the South. Some even have reached such extremes that it's been questioned if they violate the decision of Roe v. Wade, which asserted the constitutionality of many parts of the abortion process. While Trump may have just been saying how he feels about abortion, it had the effect of strengthening anti-abortion laws, which just goes to shjow how much power someone in the public eye, no matter how small or inadvertent their words or actions may seem, really has.

This is a very informative post letting us know about president trump stance on abortion and its crazy to think that letting women choose what they want to do could possibly go away and be illegal. This is why who we put into the white house and the supreme court and local governments matter because they hold the future of that child in their hands and are going to act in a manner that the person wants to. The public figure is important and should be tested continuously to see where their morals really lie.
